“The Spinal Foundation has been our salvation for the past 7 years. It took us 3 years to get my husband enlisted for ELF. After surgery on his lower spine his health has greatly improved (after being told by an NHS Consultant that, “there is nothing I can do for you, except refer you to a pain clinic to help you cope with the pain”).
Why is everything in the NHS such a fight? Surely, the government must realise it is in their interest, to treat individuals, wherever it may be, to enable them to carry on contributing to the Welfare State! How many more are out there who have given up – unable to lead a normal life? I suppose the moral of A’s story is don’t give in!!”
